My travels have been my main artistic teacher. On my road trip to Mexico I met a driftwood artist who taught me the ways of his craft. As soon as I returned to the west coast of British Columbia I started sculpting my West Coast Driftures. Made from driftwood, paper mache' and acrylic paints.

Actually he is made from three two pieces of driftwood, the whole body is one piece and the head and arms are another. I used paper mache to hide the joint.
